It helps to include your device model and iOS version, and which window you were repairing.
Progress syncs through your own iCloud. Check that iCloud Drive is on for both devices and that they use the same Apple Account, then open the game and wait a moment. The Settings panel in the game shows whether iCloud is on. With iCloud off, progress stays on the device it was made on.
If iCloud was on before the reinstall, your restored windows come back the first time the game connects. If iCloud was off, the progress lived only on the device and is not recoverable — the game keeps no copy on any server.
The reminder is off until you turn it on in the game's Settings panel, and it asks for notification permission the first time. If you declined, iOS will not ask again: turn notifications on in iOS Settings → Notifications → Glass Mender, then set the reminder time in the game.
The game respects the iPhone's silent switch, so it stays quiet when your device is silenced. There is also a Sound toggle in the game's Settings panel. The whole game is designed to be fully playable with sound off.
Restoring a Campaign or Daily window earns one candle; a World Tour landmark earns two. You can hold up to five. Tap the candle on the bench to light one and reveal where a piece belongs. Candles are earned by playing only — there is nothing to buy.
